Are Semi-Permanent Makeup Treatments painful?
Pain tolerance varies from person to person. While some clients feel little to no discomfort, others may experience a mild sensation. It’s more of an uncomfortable feeling than actual pain. The little discomfort is definitely worth it once you see your new Brows, Liner or Lips.

How long will my Semi-Permanent Makeup last?
On average, Semi-Permanent Makeup lasts between 12-24 months depending on your skin type and aftercare. To maintain fresh, vibrant results, we recommend a colour boost every 12-18 months. Proper aftercare is essential to ensure long-lasting results.

Which method of Permanent Brows do you offer?
Emma Louise offers Microblading (Hair Strokes), Combination Brows (Hairstrokes & Shading) & Powder Brows (Machine Shaded Brows).

How long will the procedure take?
The entire treatment takes 2 hours for eyebrows & eyeliner, which includes prep time and discussing your desired results. The actual procedure takes around 40 minutes. For lips the treatment time is 2.5 hours.

How long will they take to heal?

• Brows: Healing typically takes around 14 days for the brows to fully close.

• Eyeliner: The initial healing for eyeliner takes about 7 days.

• Lips: For lip tattoos, the initial healing usually takes around 5 days.

After the initial healing periods, the colour will full settle in the skin after 6-8 weeks.

Will semi-permanent makeup fade over time?
Yes, the colour will naturally fade over time due to factors like skin type, sun exposure, and lifestyle. A colour boost is recommended every 12-18 months to keep your look fresh.

Can I wear makeup over my semi-permanent makeup?
Once healed, you can wear makeup over the treated areas, but it’s best to avoid applying makeup directly to the treated areas during the initial healing phase.

How do I know which semi-permanent makeup style suits me?
During your consultation, we’ll discuss your preferences and evaluate your natural features, such as your face shape, eye shape, and natural eyebrow shape, to determine the best style for you.

Can I still get semi-permanent makeup if I have certain medical conditions?
If you have any medical conditions, such as active skin conditions, pregnancy, or certain medications, it’s important to consult with your technician beforehand to ensure the treatment is suitable for you.

Are there any restrictions after having semi-permanent makeup?
After your treatment, avoid activities that cause excessive sweating (like intense exercise), saunas, and swimming for at least a week to allow proper healing. Although you will be required to clean them daily with sterile water, anything else other than that is best to be avoided.
